Triosence
Piano: Bernhard Schüler
Bass: Ingo Senst
Drums: Stephan Emig
The band Triosence has been causing waves in the world of music for some years with their lyrical and poetic compositions. Soon after winning first prize at the national jazz competition “Jugend jazzt” in 2001, they were awarded German radio’s Studio Prize and nominated for the German Music Reviewers’ Prize. In Japan they were voted one of the top newcomers since the release of their debut album First Enchantment (2002), while back at home Stern magazine has described them as “the fresh faces of German jazz”. On stage the three instrumentalists are equal partners, performing melodies that glow with strength and clarity. Not only jazz connoisseurs are enthusiastic the group also attracts fans with little experience of the genre. Triosence borrows from jazz, fusion, folk and world music to develop their own stylistic mixture, weaving a fascinating aural tapestry.
