Guests at the Paechterhaus gourmet restaurant during the upcoming Kurt Weill Festival can look forward to a cheeky and charming evening of recitation on the important matter of earthly pleasures. The speaker, singer and actor Stefan Müller-Ruppert will provide his own seasoning to the culinary highlights with witty texts, songs and hilarious stories. His son Bastian, a student of jazz and popular music at Leipzig’s music conservatory and a regular performer as guitarist and trombonist in diverse ensemble, big bands and theatre or musical productions, will provide the musical accompaniment. The evening’s delightful programme will feature texts by Erich Kästner, Wilhelm Busch, Vincent Klink and Harald Hurst, interspersed with musical interludes by Georg Kreisler, Carl Michael Bellman, Reinhard Mey, Kurt Weill and others. Guests should be prepared for the unexpected!
